◆简　　介：

April 29th, 1974; A brooding cloud drifts over the prairie. Lightning! Thunder! A strange sound wakes up six-year-old Josh Barnaby: a drum roll of cracking wood. Puzzled, Josh looks out the window at the barn at the end of the field.

Except there is no more barn. Welcome to tornado country.

In the deadly hell that follows, Josh tries to follow his father Daniel, an ex-climatologist, who obsessively films the storm. Daniel gives Josh a Talisman supposed to protect him. Tragedy strikes in a way that will mark Josh forever.

Years later, Josh has now become a TV news reporter. He is sent by his boss Ernie to Romania, where Interior Minister Petras Manescu has agreed to organize the first ever world-wide conference of Gypsy leaders. Ernie assigns neophyte producer Nicky Flynt to shepherd the impulsive Josh.

Josh insists that they start by visiting a Gypsy village. He meets Irina, a young, purple-haired fortune-teller, who recognizes his talisman and mistakes him for a member of a cult that has been hounding the Gypsies since time immemorial. Josh discovers a letter written to his dad by Malik, Daniel’s old scientific partner. Malik explains in the letter that he is worried about his own safety, since a mysterious cult is threatening him. He is the one who sent the talisman to Daniel, telling him never to let it fall into the wrong hands or nothing will ever stop Meta Tempesta. The talisman should be delivered to the right person when the time is right.

Going back to Irina, Josh learns that the talisman was forged from the knife of an ancient Gypsy who “stood up to the win”. He also finds out there is in fact a nefarious cult of people who want to get their hands on the talisman. Reading through his father’s material, he discovers that the Meta Tempesta is a tornado that recurred through time during the antiquity and that sowed destruction on a Biblical scale.
