都说《Sex and the City》是20世纪90年代后女性主义的标志性代表，当中的四位女主角大谈性事、感情独立、语言幽默犀利，风格与现代男性并驾齐驱，但是却不失女性特质：时尚、友谊、恋爱主义。因此，从影片中感受到的是真正现实生活中的女人，有着独特的吸引力。所以这部剧集是女性及同志观众多年来心目中的圣典。

电子乐老厂牌Irma Café一手包办了《Sex and the City》中的配乐编选。从Dj Rodriguez到Montefiori Cocktail，无不透露着电子乐如同剧集一般的诱惑力，以及老厂牌选乐上的独具匠心。女主角们出现在各种Party、Club、Mall以及Shopping途中，这些音乐都左右伴随，更彻底的迎合了剧集所要营造的时尚氛围。
根据乐曲出现在剧集中的时间，专辑分成了Daylight和Nightlife两个版本。Daylight较多包含了Jazz和Bassanova等元素，风格轻松自然，充盈着都市风情和流行节奏感；而Nightlife比较迷幻，偏向快节奏的Chillout，偶有舒适的Lounge，适合用作Crazy Night后，回家躺在柔软床上，余兴未了的调剂。
