Changes:
General Balance Tweaks:
- Every powerup now repairs the player ship for a very small amount of damage. This will help you keep your ship alive if you manage to avoid enemy fire for a while, especially at lower difficulty settings.
- Repair powerup now grants 15 health instead of 20
- Shield powerup now lasts 8 seconds instead of 10
- Stingers health reduced by 10%
- Player ship starting speed increased from 2% (Dart) to 5% (Mule)
Campaign tweaks:
- Reduced Health by 10% on Enemy boss and mini bosses on level 1.
- Orinoco speed increased by 20%
- Orinoco health increased by 20%, Allied turret damage increased by 100% on level 2 and 3.
- To balance the new micro repairs on every powerup, shields and full repair powerup drops have been decreased on level 3.
- Enemy beams in levels 5 and 6 deal 20% less damage.They should still insta-kill you at difficulty levels above "tourist".
Survival mode tweaks:
- To balance the new micro repairs on every powerup, shields and full repair powerup drops have been decreased.
Tourist difficulty setting
- Extra life is now granted every 25000 points instead of every 20000
- Damage taken in Tourist difficulty increased from 30% to 35%
Young gun difficulty setting
- Extra life is now granted every 35000 points instead of every 40000
Pure difficulty setting
- Damage taken is now 10X instead of 100X, every hit is still certain death, but the Mule special weapon now offers some damage mitigation.
- Powerup reset on death has been removed.
Mule:
- Gravity Well now lasts 5 seconds instead of 7
- Gravity Well charge cost increased by 150 points (about 8%)
- Gravity Well asteroid damage increased by 50%
- Gravity well minor invulnerability increased to 90% damage reduction form 50%
Visual and content updates:
- Spike spore now has a proper warp-in animation in survival mode
- Improved and optimized visual effect on powerup "shield"
- Fixed a typo in "pure" difficulty description
- Allied command bridges should now be slightly more visible.
Bug fixes:
- Score multipliers at higher difficulty settings are now working properly.
