The CiscoWorks LAN Management Solution(LMS) is part of the CiscoWorks
family of network solutions providing a robust set of applications
for maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting a broad-range of
devices in an end-to-end Cisco AVVID network. LMS provides a solid
foundation of basic and advanced management applications that enable
network operators to more efficiently manage the network.

The following applications are included in LMS:

Cisco nGenius Real Time Monitor -- The nGenius Real-Time Monitor is a
new web enabled system delivering multi-user web access to
network-wide, real-time RMON information from RMON enabled Catalyst
Switches, internal Network Analysis Modules and external WAN/LAN
SwitchProbes.

CiscoWorks Device Fault Manager -- Provides real-time fault detection
and determination. DFM reports faults that occur on Cisco devices,
often identifying problems before users of network services realize
that a problem exists.

CiscoWorks Campus Manager -- Campus Manager provides powerful Layer 2
tools for configuring, managing, and understanding complex physical
and logical infrastructures.

CiscoWorks Resource Manager Essentials --Delivers a powerful Webbased
management solution for managing inventory, configuration,and
software updates in Cisco routers and switches

CiscoWorks CiscoView -- Provides the common database, Web,and desktop
services used to integrate with other Cisco and third- party tools.

CiscoWorks Common Services -- Provides a foundation of application
infrastructure for all CiscoWorks applications to share a common
model for data storage, login, user role definitions, access
privileges, and security protocols, as well as navigation and launch
management.
