Pablo de Sarasate was a very famous violin virtuoso and composer born on March 10, 1844 in Pamplona. The Sarasate’s great talent had been obvious since his early childhood. He gained many prestige awards. Grandiose and succesful concerts tours made him famous in the whole Europe, also in North and South America. As a composer he mainly attendet to violin compositions. The most famous works from his 54 Opuses are the Gypsy melodies Opus 20 and a few books of Spanish dances. They emanate from national melodies and connect lightness and elegance with higly difficult passages. This CD is dedicated to Sarasate’s dances. Lada Fedorova graduated at Prague Conservatory and continued her studies at Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno and at the Royal Academy of Music Aarhus in Denmark. She is a laureate of many international violin competitions (Radio Katovice - Poland, Concertino Praga - Czech Republic, Dolný Kubín – Slovakia. She was also a concert master of Czech Symphonists Prague. Her violin was made by Thomas Balestrieri in the year 1700 in Cremona.Lucie Kaucká is a excelent piano player. She was born in Kraslice which is a town of many good musicians, where she has been attending a music school since she was seven years old. She continued studying the piano at the Conservatory Teplice. She graduated at the Conservatory of Pardubice. Then she studied musicology at Philosophic Faculty of Palacký University in Olomouc.
