1982年出生的说唱歌手Lloyd Banks原名Christopher Charles Lloyd，是说唱团体G-Unit的成员。出生在美国纽约市皇后区的牙买加聚居区，母亲是波多黎各人，父亲是一名黑人。和众多潦倒的黑人家庭一样，Lloyd Banks也成长于这样的街头环境。在很小的时候，Lloyd Banks就开始搞一些说唱歌曲的创作，但那时的这些创作还只是文字。后来，中学的Lloyd Banks开始听Big Daddy Kane，Slick Rick等说唱歌手的作品，由此激发起了Lloyd Banks对说唱音乐的兴趣，并在此后成为了他的职业。不久之后，不满16岁的Lloyd Banks从高中退学，并且开始频繁的出入于当地的一些小型录音工作间，并且在这些混录磁带中得到锻炼，成为了当地最好的说唱歌手之一，而竞争对手则是他的邻居Tony Yayo以及50 Cent。1999年，17岁的Lloyd Banks与这两名邻居化竞争对手为同僚，尽管三人都并无名气，但仍然共同组建了G-Unit说唱乐团。　　Lloyd Banks等三人组团之后，说唱音乐发展渐渐有了好转，他们创作并演唱更多更出色的说唱单曲，并且通过录制的磁带引起了关注。但是不久之后，Tony Yayo因为非法持有枪支而被宣判入狱服刑，G-Unit加入了Young Buck替代Tony Yayo。此后G-Unit的成员一直在一起工作，在50 Cent取得事业转机的时候，Lloyd Banks一直是50 Cent的左膀右臂，在2003年50 Cent的爆发专辑《Get Rich Or Die Tryin'》里，Lloyd Banks也参与创作了多首热门单曲。而在此后大多数的演出活动中，50 Cent也都找来了G-Unit众人一起登场。　　50 Cent狂捞美元之后，Lloyd Banks作为组合成员，参加了于2003年11月14日发行的G-Unit首张专辑《Beg for Mercy》的录制，这张专辑同样取得了非常出色的商业成绩。50 Cent成为暴发户之后也没有忘记这些Lloyd Banks等人，在他成立了自己的G-Unit唱片分公司之后，Lloyd Banks自然是首批加盟歌手之一。2004年6月29日，Lloyd Banks的首张个人专辑《Hunger for More》正式发行。随后，Lloyd Banks也相继在2006年和2008年发行了他的第二张专辑《Rotten Apple》和第三张专辑《Gang Green》。在The Game退出G-Unit后，Lloyd Banks一直是G-Unit的二当家，而在2008年Young Buck退出后，元老级的Lloyd Banks对G-Unit来说就显得越发重要。而随后50 Cent, Lloyd Banks和Tony Yayo三人为首的G-Unit发布了新专辑《T.O.S.》不过此时的G-Unit已经难续当年辉煌。他也于2009年离开了Interscope唱片公司，不过他仍是G-Unit唱片公司的一员，2009年4月30日，在他的生日这一天，他发布了一首“Officer Down”，辱骂了当时与他们产生矛盾的南方说唱歌手Rick Ross。

He dropped out of high school at the age of 16, finding the structured environment a hindrance to his developing talent for rhyming. After appearing on numerous local mixtapes, Banks, along with childhood friends Tony Yayo and 50 Cent, formed a crew called G-Unit, a group that proceeded to redefine the term "street marketing" with a series of self-released albums that included original numbers and quality artwork. Banks stayed on with 50 Cent, appearing on the artist's now classic 2003 debut, Get Rich or Die Tryin'. November of that same year saw the release of G-Unit's Beg for Mercy. Banks' long-awaited solo debut for G Unit/Interscope Records, Hunger for More, was released in June 2004. He followed it two years later with Rotten Apple. In 2010, G-Unit announced they were leaving Interscope and partnering with EMI for Banks' third album, H.F.M. 2 (The Hunger for More 2).
