this is not quite intended for bio major. In my school those professors use this as the core biology class text for cell biology. Hellish. Basically every non-bio major student has to read through the text and understand everything in ten weeks!
I admit that it's a good textbook, sorta a classic, but not a good read for non-bio majors.
