During a sold-out three-gig stand at Madison Square Garden in late February 2008 when icons Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood performed a concert together for the first time since their all-too-brief days in the legendary Blind Faith in 1969. Whether they will ever team again is unknown. But with Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood Live From Madison Square Garden, fans everywhere are able to experience the sound and the glory of a performance on that famous stage by two of rock's greatest artists.

Two rock legends in a sold-out series of shows from New York City? If that sounds even remotely interesting, then Live From Madison Square Garden is for you. There’s something comforting about the presence of Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood on the concert trail – maybe it’s just that the old guys can get up there and give the young folks a good run too.

Because this is kinda a reunion of the two superstars from the short-lived 1960s supergroup Blind Faith, you get a handful of those numbers (”Can’t Find My Way Home,” “Had To Cry Today,” etc.) as well as some choice numbers from Winwood’s Traffic days (”Pearly Queen,” “Dear Mr. Fantasy”) and some nice Clapton solo choices (”After Midnight,” “Cocaine”).

This stuff rocks – still – and Clapton plays like a man possessed. His blues showcases, including “Double Trouble” and the Robert Johnson acoustic chestnut “Rambling On My Mind” both feature astonishing guitar work and are the best cuts here. This is one of the best sounding live albums I’ve heard in a while: vocals and guitars (Winwood’s no slouch, either) are crisply recorded and right up front, and it’s all served up on a bed of tasty Hammond organ from Winwood. If we have to relive the 1960s, this is certainly the way to do it.

steve winwood 曾被 al kooper 评论为“我见过的最好的白人布鲁斯歌手”。 winwood 早在伯明翰的 spencer davis group 担任歌手和键盘手时就小有名气。 1967 年，他加入 traffic 乐队。 winwood 出生在英格兰伯明翰市，他 14 岁时就是一个爵士乐队的风琴手，并且掌握了许多不同的音乐风格，包括布鲁斯、爵士、民歌、斯加、摇滚等等。　　
1966 年，在 powerhouse 录音棚，他就参与了 eric clapton、jack bruce、paul jones、pete york 和 ben palmer 的录音。他还同其他名声颇大的“激进摇滚”乐队合作，如 blind faith 和 airforce。 1970～1971 年期间，他还曾是 airforce 的成员。 traffic 一直维持到 1975 年，之后，winwood 与许多乐手在他们的录音中合作，sandy denny、stomu yamashta、george harrison 以及 toots and the maytals 乐队。直到 1976 年，他才录制了第 1 张个人专辑《steve winwood》（island 公司）。专辑中的一部分歌曲是他同前 traffic 的伙伴 jim capaldi 以及前 bonzo dog doo dah 乐队的 viv stanshall 合作的。 1976 年 winwood 还参与录制 stomu yamashta 的专辑《go live from paris》，并在那首着名的《crossing the line》中担任主唱。

CHD出的BDRIP也有爆音，源文件有问题吧，想换这个的，看来都一样啊

哦，我下的是CHD的BDRIP版本，像吉它SOLO等高音部分都会出现破音，本来准备换楼主这个版本的
