时隔两年半，来自澳洲的乡村歌手Keith Urban推出了他的第五张个人专辑《Defying Gravity》。在美国上市第一周，这张《Defying Gravity》一共卖出了17万1千张，这个并不算太高的销量成绩已经确保这张专辑在Billboard 200专辑榜获得冠军了。与此同时在本周的热门乡村专辑榜当中，这张《Defying Gravity》成为Keith Urban的第三张冠军唱片。这是Keith Urban第一次在Billboard 200专辑榜中夺魁，他此前在Billboard 200专辑榜中的最好成绩是第三名，2004年的专辑《Be Here》和2006年的《Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing》都曾获得Billboard 200专辑榜的季军。

这张《Defying Gravity》基本延续了上张《Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing》的制作路线，阳光上进的乡村小调和抒情感人的慢版曲目都有一些，满足了不同乐迷的口味。专辑制作人依然由老搭档Dan Huff担任，而在全部的11首歌曲中，Keith Urban本人参与了其中八首的创作以及全部歌曲的编排。和前作一样，《Defying Gravity》也是一张耐听的流行乡村佳作。
