专辑介绍：

“Precious”是宇多田光在正式出道前以“Cubic U”之名发表的英文专辑，于1996年在纽约Sony Music工作室录制。本作首次于1998年1月28日在日本发行。原定于日本美国同步发行，但因EMI的内部重组问题，本专辑未在美国发行，只有在日本发行。之后1999年3月31日在日本重新发行。

HIKKI经过《FIRST LOVE》的一轮洗礼，日本人对这位神秘的天才少女的好奇心与日俱增，加上PRECIOUS风格偏向美国黑人R&B,于是在销量上亦有69W的不错表现。PRECIOUS中，只有13岁的HIKKI，初次尝试创作及担任主唱，稍显稚嫩的声音却不失甜美，不易的唱功在合音的伴称下显得更加立体，没有玩味的编曲，原味纯正的R&B是这张专集最大的特点。

新年早々、新人王争いぶっちぎりで独走中の宇多田ヒカルが、昨年初头に别名义でリリースしていたのがコレ。彼女の爆発的ブレイクに急遽新装再発决定。この时すでに只者じゃなさ全开なのがスゴイ。
