剧情简介：
故事发生在遥远的未来，当时的英国正处于冷酷的极权统治之下，特权等级无情剥削贫困劳动阶层，同时以暴力压制此起彼伏的革命。女主角艾菲(娜塔莉•波曼 饰)是一名普通的女工，某次遭受匪徒袭击，千钧一发时刻被一个蒙面人解救，这个神秘英雄正是被人匿称为“V”的革命者。V(雨果•维文饰)是个沉静、知识型的侠客，以对抗极权为己任，希望能以地下革命手段，拯救整个英国被剥削受压迫的劳动人民。

幕后故事：骇客原班人马
以《骇客帝国》技惊全球的沃卓斯基兄弟再度出手，泡制这部同样以未来为背景的奇幻动作电影，这次他们提拔了《骇客帝国》系列的首席助理导演詹姆士•麦提格负责执导本片。其实本片的拍摄早在九十年代中期已开始酝酿，但沃卓斯基兄弟当时全力制作《骇客帝国》3部曲，十年过去，兄弟俩认为自己在导演中倾尽精力，故将导演重任交给了麦提格。
《V怪客》改编自原名经典漫画，原作首现于81年一本叫《Warrior》的漫画月刊，一出即引起争议，原作由阿伦•摩亚及大卫•莱特合编，出版26期被迫停刊，五年后，两位作者在DC漫画支持下再续推出漫画，最终令其成为近代科幻漫画的经典之作。
V一角由《骇客帝国》系列里的大反派雨果•维文饰演，之前在Matrix中他一直戴着墨镜，这次则要戴上面具，只凭声音演出。在片中饰演V的革命伴侣的是娜塔莉•波曼，她在片中被V所救，由一个女工成为反抗极权的革命份子。为了准备演好片中角色，娜塔莉•波曼搜集了多本参考书目，包括一本六七十年代美国激进份子劫狱行动书籍《The Weather Underground》，以及一本有关1605盖•福克斯革命行动纪录《Faith andTreason》。
娜塔莉•波曼为了本片拍摄，甚至不惜剃光头发，这同样引来众多关注，在片中她扮演的角色由普通女工成为地下战士时，有一个剪掉头发的戏，这个片段要求一次成功，绝对没有NG的机会，故导演麦提格早已作好一切准备，并与发型师细致组织这个落发场面，不容出错机会。
制作花絮：呈现未来世界
故事背景被设在未来伦敦，美术设计Owen Paterson的首要任务是要营造一个没有灵魂的未来伦敦市，他与服装设计SammySheldon采用了灰白色为电影美术布景及服装的主调，而片中在极权统治下的社会，大多设施由电视频道到家具，都是同一款色，沉闷而单调。
影片大多场景都在德国柏林的片厂拍摄，其中Stage 2片厂更是德国科幻电影《大都会》的拍摄场地，主角V的巢穴The ShadowGallery就被设置在里。The ShadowGallery大概位于今日圣保罗大教堂的地下，是个充满着秘道的革命地下总部。影片的V是个文化艺术的守护者，故他的藏身地点也藏有大量文化产品。例如毕加索等众多现代艺术品，布景设计师花了很多时间去搜购不同类型的经典作品，当然也付出了庞大的复制版权费。
V的造型，首要是他的面具标志，由于在一次革命行动中被火烧伤，他被迫要戴上以16世纪英雄盖•福克斯样貌的面具，这个面具成为了他独特的标志。影片的面具造型沿袭漫画原着，导演麦提格不想借助CG特效，而采用基本的泥浆倒模效果制成，再配合灯光与摄影技巧去表达V的各种神态，主角雨果•维文躲在面具后演戏难度更高，他需要后期参与配音以传达V在面具后发声的更佳效果。
V的战衣植根于16世纪，再结合现代剪裁，令外型看来有点后现代感。他的战袍内藏有六把飞刀，并有刀套附在内衣上。至于V每次行动完后必留下的红玫瑰，影片用到的玫瑰属于名贵的Grand Prix品种，道具部每日都有人新鲜采购，以确每日都有盛放的玫瑰可供拍摄之用。
点评：经典场景不容错过
又一部根据经典漫画改编的动作科幻影片，《骇客帝国》原班人马参与制作，保证影片具有更加绚丽诡异的未来派风格，娜塔莉•波曼剪掉长发的演出也具有相当强的吸引力，所有一切都证明这会是一部值得一看的经典动作片。根据官方提供的资料，影片中有两个浩大场面尤其值得关注：
2万2千块骨牌倒下场面震撼。这个场景具有非常震撼的效果，它的拍摄同样需要一次完成，负责堆砌骨牌的人员花了200个小时将骨牌砌好，整个过程令全体工作人员屏息静气，稍有风吹草动，如稍大的脚步或声浪，均会令努力前功尽废。
500个V同时现身。影片中V的黑帽、黑袍的战客形象令敌人闻风丧胆，为了给敌人更具杀伤力的声势，地下军团均穿上V的装备，结果一场戏里就曾出现500个V的浩大场面，这与《骇客帝国》中无限复制的史密斯那场戏有异曲同工只妙。

Remember, remember, the Fifth of November, the Gunpowder Treason and Plot. I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot... But what of the man? I know his name was Guy Fawkes and I know, in 1605, he attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament. But who was he really? What was he like? We are told to remember the idea, not the man, because a man can fail. He can be caught, he can be killed and forgotten, but 400 years later, an idea can still change the world. I've witnessed first hand the power of ideas, I've seen people kill in the name of them, and die defending them... but you cannot kiss an idea, cannot touch it, or hold it... ideas do not bleed, they do not feel pain, they do not love... And it is not an idea that I miss, it is a man... A man that made me remember the Fifth of November. A man that I will never forget.
电视台播的那一段： Good evening, London. Allow me first to apologize for this interruption. I do, like many of you, appreciate the comforts of every day routine- the security of the familiar, the tranquility of repetition. I enjoy them as much as any bloke. But in the spirit of commemoration, thereby those important events of the past usually associated with someone's death or the end of some awful bloody struggle, a celebration of a nice holiday, I thought we could mark this November the 5th, a day that is sadly no longer remembered, by taking some time out of our daily lives to sit down and have a little chat. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now high chancellor, Adam Sutler. He promised you order, he promised you peace, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent. Last night I sought to end that silence. Last night I destroyed the Old Bailey, to remind this country of what it has forgotten. More than four hundred years ago a great citizen wished to embed the fifth of November forever in our memory. His hope was to remind the world that fairness, justice, and freedom are more than words, they are perspectives. So if you've seen nothing, if the crimes of this government remain unknown to you then I would suggest you allow the fifth of November to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I ask you to stand beside me one year from tonight, outside the gates of Parliament, and together we shall give them a fifth of November that shall never, ever be forgot.
