I've never purchased a Kenny G CD before this one, but I must say I'm very surprised at how good this CD sounds. Kenny G.'s saxaphone playing is the singular thread which weaves through this rich tapesty of popular songs, gorgeous voices and clean production. I've played this CD at home, in my car and at work. It works everywhere I go. That's a difficult feat for most CD's.

I'm very impressed by his selection of duet partners, which speaks volumes for his ability to appreciate good music, from many different genres. I'm especially fond of his readings of 'Beautiful' w/Chaka Khan, 'Sorry Is The Hardest Word'w/Richard Marx, 'Music Makes Me
Dance' w/Barbara Streisand and 'Alfie'w/Burt Bacharach.'

I highly recommend this record for ALL lovers of good music!!!

The Duets, Another Strong kenny Cd!!, December 2, 2004

At first i wasn't sure about this cd and the song choses, some of these songs have been done so much that no one wants to hear another remake! Now the two i don't care for are 'I believe I can fly'(simply because i hate this song!)and 'Careless whisper' because the original version is the best!(Nancy Wilson does a great cover also..)

Now the arrangements on the songs stick close to the originals, i do wish LeAnn Rimes had been given another song to sing...it's good..

Chaka Khan makes 'Beautiful' her own with that voice!
Gladys shows that she can handle a classic like 'Misty' and make it soulful..
I can really feel the emotion Kenny gives on 'Alfie' some of his best playing...
This is a very good cd! the standout cut for me is 'The Music That Makes Me Dance' by Barbra Streisand.

This album is great. The songs are all songs that I've loved forever and the duet partners are amazing - I mean Gladys Knight, Streisand, Burt Bacharach, Chaka Khan, Earth Wind & Fire, LeAnn Rimes and Hall & Oates all on one album?! I bought one for my wife and one for my aunt and they both love it. It's really, really great!

From the past to the future, I really did support Kenny G CD. Well, I got to say, I was expecting Kenny G product a new solo CD. I am not expecting the duets CD. After I hear this CD, I really understand that is the greatest CD. In this CD, you can listen so many different kind of music. Such as The way you move, Pick up Pieces, etc. This CD is including most famous and fun song. Kenny G performance is great in this CD. If you concentrate listen this CD, you will discover that Kenny use different care of effect and sound on each song. And he did try as hard as he can to product this CD. The David Sanborn and Kenny G Duets, you have to be becareful.......... Well, the greatest in this CD should be "Careless Whisper" and "The music that make me dance".
