介绍:《战隼4.0:联合力量》是一款全3D的飞行模拟作品,由Lead Pursuit公司担纲开发完成,Atari公司发行。据制作方称,在本作中,广大玩家将驾驶一架相当先进的F16战斗机进行空中对抗,有三种型号可供选择:Block 50/52、40/42和MLU。游戏的时代背景分为三个时期,从上个世纪九十年代中期到未来的2010年。游戏地点设置在朝鲜和巴尔乾等地区。游戏系统使用了多线程开发技术,支持最新的双核CPU。在图像引擎引擎方面也极为优秀,在本作中你会看到大量的动态天气效果,比如,风、云、雷、雾等等。  还支持高分辨率显示模式,地型和空军基地等环境刻划非常逼真,游戏套装所附带的初级玩家手册有110页,而pdf格式的高级操作文档更是多达716页。在游戏模式方面,玩家可以进行空对空和空对地攻击。除了单机模式外,玩家还可以进行多人对抗,其中包括互联网和局域网。较之前作,新作在自定义作战和竞技模式方面性能有了极大的提高。

* BIG NOTES First:

  For the lamers who nuked 6-21-05 CustomPlay_Golf_PROPER_REPACK_RIP-TNT :

  1) it was only nuked on a small # of sites mostly with sheep nukers that
     mirror nukes from other sites.  Meaning these idiots do not check for
     themselves to see if the reasons for a nuke are even true or valid.

  2) The textures of the Repack are not in any way, shape, or form DOWNSAMPLED.
     Do you morons even understand what DOWNSAMPLING that means?
     Lossy compression such as MP3/OGG/JPG/DDS do not downsample the data.  
     And yes the Quality is "downgraded", that is the meaning of LOSSY
     compression.  This is allowed by the SSR rules.

     To downsample a texture, you would need to resize (shrink) the Resolution,
     such as from 1024x768 down to 640x480 which would save ALOT of disk space
     or you would need to lower the bit depth such as from 16 million colors
     down to 256 colors.  These things result in HUGELY smaller sized files,
     but also introduce massive data loss and pixelization.  This type of loss
     to quality is not acceptable and that is why DownSampling is not allowed.

     With any lossy compression, including MP3 and DDS, you definitely have
     some noticeable loss of quality (downgrading/degradation).  However, this
     is allowed as long as downsampling is not done.

     Again, the TNT rip did not DownSample any textures nor sounds.  So why did
     a few lame bitches nuke it on a few "lame sites"?  Because they are
     friends of the TECHNIC thieves?  Or they just don't like TNT's
     holier-than-thou-art attitude toward the lame shit groups of the scene?

  3) Our rip did not violate the SSR rules (especially Rule #5) as explained
     above.  Any jokers that nuked for that reason are also stupid and ignorant.

  4) The textures were not "raped".  They were DDS compressed with 8:1 or 4:1
     compression ratios.  This lossy compression is ALLOWED by the SSR Rule #5
     and other groups such as clASS/MYTH/DIVINE/INSTICT/etc have done it too.

  5) TECHNIC is a scene banned group.  TECHNIC does not exist.  
     Give it up and get lost TECHNIC.

  6) Might the game graphics look a little bit different if you compare screen
     shots of the Original CDRom version and our rip.  Possible, as the
     textures were lossily compressed (as allowed by SRR).  If you just played
     our rip and never saw the CDRom original one, would you notice anything
     that seems wrong such as pixelization or artifacts?  Nope.  You would have
     fun and enjoy a GRAPHICALLY nice looking game.  Nuf said as this is a RIP
     SCENE we are catering to!


  * Now on to the next show, Falcon 4!

  What we are calling the "Ultra Hi-Res Cockpit Textures" were almost ripped
  out.  There is about 100 megs of non-compressible Textures in 256-color GIF
  format for the highest Screen Resolutions settings.  
  This "Falcon 4" game has 1600x1200, 1280x960, and 1024x768 resolution texture
  sets for the 50-ish viewpoints of the in-game Cockpit Art.
  Luckily we found a way to get these textures compressed with NON-Lossy
  methods or else we were going to rip out the 1600 and 1280 sets!

  So ban the lame thieves from TECHNIC (one of the lamest groups in the scene)
  and lets get on with the show!

Falcon 4.0: Allied Force, the successor of Falcon 4.0, is an advanced F-16
combat flight simulator for the PC. The player takes on the role of a pilot
flying a multitude of missions in either the Balkans Theater of Operations or
the Korean Theater of Operations in a fully dynamic, evolving war.

Based on the legendary Falcon 4.0 F-16 combat flightsimulator, Allied Force
features extensive improvements in all areas including artificial intelligence,
graphics, multiplayer, terrain and of course the stunning real time, fully
dynamic campaign engine. There is also a brand new theater of operation, the
Balkans, in addition to revised campaigns for the Korean theater.  

Pilot three different variants of the F-16 Fighting Falcon -- the best
multi-role fighter ever built -- including Block 40, Block 50/52 and MLU
variants. Ultra-high fidelity physics modeling closely simulates actual
aircraft performance.

Engage the enemy in two operational theaters -- Korea and the Balkans -- each
covering over a million square Kilometers of territory. Dogfight over a wide
variety of landscapes: wide seas, open grasslands, dense forests and snow
capped mountains. Fly nap-of-earth missions through detailed terrain and
undulating valleys.

Launch a variety of air-to-air missiles like the AIM-120 AMRAAM and AIM-9
Sidewinder. Deploy a vast array of air-to-ground weaponry including the AGM-65
Maverick, AGM-88 HARM, cluster bombs, slick and high drag bombs and laser
guided ordnance. Weapon systems are simulated using the most accurate publicly
available specifications.

Simulate an entire war with the most advanced dynamic campaign engine ever made
for your PC. This remarkable feature presides over tens of thousands of
vehicles: air, land and sea. No two missions ever fly the same!
- Fly alongside and against other aircraft prosecuting their own missions.
- Bomb damage may or may not be repaired, depending on enemy resources.
- Negotiate the electronic warfare arena with ground, air and sea radars.

Rely on advanced AI (Artificial Intelligence) to control your wingmen, or
direct them as required..
- Wingmen use real world doctrine and tactics in all aspects of their missions.
  Tune in to radio chatter directly related to the events unfolding around you.
- Call on AWACS assistance in finding targets when you need help defending your
  flight from interception.
- Go up against challenging enemy aircraft, sea and ground defenses all of
  which employ real attack and defense tactics.
- Experience authentic Air Traffic Control procedures with stacks and talk down
  via your aircraft's radio.
- See busy airbases with parked and taxiing aircraft, helicopter traffic, and
  aircraft takeoffs and landings.

Participate in cooperative or adversarial multi-player flight over a LAN or
across the Internet. Join large packages that can include over 20 aircraft --
some of which are flown by computer AI, others under human control during
multi-player flight.

Encounter nearly every air defense measure available including SAMs (radar,
infrared and optically guided), AAA and a GCI/IADS network designed to alert
and neutralize threats on both sides. Search for enemies using accurate radar
modes: RWS, TWS, VS, ACM, GM, GMT, SEA.

The graphics engine supports real-time terrain lighting, dynamically-shaded 3D
volumetric clouds and alpha-blended scattered clouds. Fog is also implemented
and combined with new high resolution textures on models and the terrain, the
visuals are tremendously improved. Highly detailed and clickable cockpits for
three different F-16 aircraft are included: the Block 50/52, 40/42 and MLU
variants.

The multiplayer engine features a new, problem-free connection method with
support for a centralized, server-system style of play for Internet and Local
Area Network (LAN) games. Performance and reliability have been greatly
improved for both customer made missions and campaign flights.

The Dynamic Campaign Engine (DCE) is the war simulator where any event
happening in any part of the theater of combat affects the war's direction
throughout that theater. How you perform in your mission directly, and
proportionately, determines what happens elsewhere. This is true for the tens
of thousands of computer controlled entities in the game. It means that the
player really feels part of a living war environment, part of something that is
evolving around them in real time.

Some of the greatest changes have been to improve the interaction of computer
controlled aircraft and the hundreds of ground entities in Falcon 4.0: Allied
Force. Thousands of hours of work has led to remarkable improvements in
artificial intelligence. During missions, computer-controlled aircraft will
perform with precision. The role of the Forward Air Controller (FAC) is now
implemented, allowing the player to co-operate with other flight aircraft when
carrying out ground attacks. Brand new Air Traffic Control (ATC) intelligently
manages the flights in and out of bases.

The F-16's electronic systems simulated in Falcon 4.0: Allied Force, including
the avionics, are the most realistic for the home personal computer. Numerous
modes and sub-modes in air-to-air and air-to-ground radar are accurately
implemented to immerse the player in the feel of operating a modern combat
aircraft.

The new theatre of operations is the Balkans. There are three time periods
stretching from the mid-1990s to 2010, featuring appropriate aircraft,
squadrons, and units. Each theater period has three campaigns, making nine in
totaly for the Balkans. Falcon 4.0: Allied Force also features a heavily
revised Korean theater and associated campaigns.

* The Speech can be turned off in the game Settings and is not required to
  play the game.  With speech, your character may say some fraises such as:
  "Holy crap!!!! i'm hit, i'm hit!  I'm going down!  Avenge my death, Sammy!"
  There is no problems with leaving the "speech enabled" in the settings!  
  It just plays silence.

* About the Movies: there is 1 Intro movie and 6 tiny movies the play every
  single time to swich between campaigns.  These campaign selection movies get
  very annoying since you can't turn them off.  So, be glad we ripped them.

7. NOTES:

   a) To switch Campaigns, use the Battlefield button near the bottom left.

   b) If you ever move or rename your game directory, you must re-run our Game
      Path Setup utility:
      SETPATH.BAT

      Be aware that it may overwrite some of your game configuration settings
      when you run it!

   c) There is a game bug that we discovered (happens with the original CDRom
      version too, so IT IS NOT A PROBLEM WITH THE RIP).
      If you install to a long path name, the game may crash after exiting a
      mission regardless of win/lose/abort.
      It gets an error:  "buffer overrun detected! ...which has corrupted the
      program's internal state".
