This here is a Collection of Enigma-Songs I did myself. I started this little Project of Mine in 2001 and over the years this collection grew and improved.
The Reason for that is very simple: I didn′t like the "Love Sensuality Devotion" - Best Of. The "remastered" Sound is horrible compared to the Originals, and the Transition of one Track into another also (too easy, too simple & too short). Further I didn′t like the radio-compatibility of the Tracks...

So, I figured "Why not creating a Mix of my Own?" So I did. It was not easy. The Transitions required a painstaking effort. I had to sample Songs from Enigma, other Sounds from different Sources (Movies, Rain, Birds etc.) to create fitting Transitions between Songs. Further I wanted to edit some songs, which appeared to long for me (e.g. "The Roundabout" & "Beyond The Invisible"). AND: I improved the sound quality. The Ripping was done with my old TEAC-Burner in 2001 - with EAC, but without the LOG. At that Time i already was a quality junkie... so there is no need to doubt the Quality of this Collection. I did a little Remastering when it was necessary (especially with the first two Albums) and prepared the Sound to fit the newer Songs. All processing steps were done in 24 Bit / 96 kHz, at first with Sound Forge 5.0, then a few Months ago with Sound Forge 8.0, WaveLab 5.0 and Adobe Audition 2.0. I used Apogee′s UV22 HR dithering & Algorithmix Plugins to achieve the Sound I wanted.

I burned the Tracks with Nero to an Image-File, grabbed that Image-File directly from the Harddrive to have a Log & a Cue-File. So, don′t wonder what drive I used. Again, this is no proper Rip! It can′t be, because I did mixing and altering the Sound.

Furthermore, if there′s a Song from Enigma, that doesn′t appear in my Mix, then it′s simply because I don′t like it. Someone could mention, that "Carly′s Song" is missing, but it was excluded for a Reason.
