《飞出个未来》是一部超级搞笑的科幻动画剧集，荣获多次艾美奖等殊荣，IMDB评分高达9.1分，飞翔科幻网幻翔字幕组倾力奉献，特别原创翻译，希望给大家的生活带来笑声。该剧的制作班底是《辛普森一家/阿森一族》(The Simpsons)的原班人马。香港曾播出过,港译名为"乃出个未来"。由于播映的电视台不同，所以该剧有4季和5季两个版本，但两个版本内容相同均为72集，只是分季划分和部分集的排列顺序不同而已。本次发布的为全4季的版本。

《飞出个未来》讲述匹萨送货员Fry这个彻底的失败者在1999年12月31日送外卖到一家人体冷冻保存公司，却发现是被人恶作剧。窗外广场的人群开始倒数新年来到，而Fry在自己享用啤酒时把凳子弄翻，不小心跌进了一个冷冻保存柜，一冻即是1000年。2999年新年夜，复苏的Fry发现窗外正在倒数进入3000年，想到自己一冻千年，父母、朋友、匹萨店都不可能再见，不禁高声欢呼。Fry在新纽约遇到了被父母遗弃在地球而身世不明、武艺高强的独眼女郎Leela，吃喝嫖赌抽五毒俱全、与Fry臭味相投结为好友的弯折机器人Bender，地球上唯一和Fry有血缘关系的N重侄孙、150高龄（实际已经160）的天才发明家Farnworth教授。经过一番周折，Fry、Leela、Bender分别成了教授为自己的各种古怪科研筹集资金而经营的Planet Express星际快递公司的快递员、飞船船长和厨子，公司里还有南美裔的官僚经理、前世界级过低杠选手Hermes，华裔的富家女、工程学进修生Amy Wong，和一个学历可疑的、种族是螃蟹的Zoidberg医生。Futurama的故事即围绕这些人物的各种境遇和奇遇展开，此外经常出现的角色还有地球军队总指挥、自我感觉异常良好、习惯性不穿内裤的Zapp Branigan和他的外星人副官Kif，教授年轻时候的相好、地球所有机器人的制造商Mom等等。

如果说The Simpsons调侃的对象是美国人心目中的American Family，那么Futurama则以各种方式对经典的美国式科幻（Sci-Fi）进行反转和调侃，经典科幻的永恒主题——人类与外星文明之间的保卫地球或者征服新星球的战争——不再是主题，取而代之的是当代人时时都在面对的各种问题：工作，挣钱，网络，犯罪，毒品，PORN...，在科幻背景中以Matt Groening特有的幽默方式融入了对美国现实社会的折射和讽刺，而各种20世纪名人如克林顿、尼克松、基辛格、霍金、歌手、新闻记者等等时常以各种形式出现，更加重了以未来写当今的色彩。

Futurama开播以后，很快受到观众——特别是科幻迷——的喜爱，取得相当大的成功，在Amazon上这一剧集的DVD用户评分都在4.5到5颗星。评论界也相当看好，共获6次Emmy奖提名，3次获奖。当然，众口难调，不喜欢Futurama的也大有人在，特别是看惯了The Simpsons的家庭式幽默的观众中，很多人对同样来自Groening的Futurama在诸多方面与前者的不同很不习惯，而Futurama中对暴力、犯罪、PORN、性等“禁忌”题材的触及和处理显然也让很多道德人士反感。对FOX台方来说，请Groening创作新剧集的本意是希望能够得到第二个The Simpsons，通过同样的商业运作获得全方位的金钱回报。虽然Futurama的收视率相当不错，观众总体反映也很好，但是比起已经热播10年的The Simpsons仍相差许多，这对急等收钱的资本家和电视台来说是不能接受的（他们当然不会记得The Simpsons的成功也是经过了几年的努力才获得的）。开播时在黄金档播出的Futurama由于收视率没有达到FOX台方的高预期，很快就受到台方的冷落，后来竟被用来填补节目调整留出的时间空档。第5季制作完毕之后，FOX台没有继续签约，这一剧集因而在2003年8月早早中止。《飞出个未来》和《辛普森一家》相比较而言，《The Simpsons》到了后期一部分剧集越来越社会化，另一部分却越来越低龄化，而不像《Futurama》全剧保持这么统一以及一贯的水准保持，可以说Simpsons 属于美国人，而Futurama 属于全世界。
　
Futurama除了在电视中播放以外，Groening还成立自己的卡通公司制作出版同系列的漫画版，此外还有Futurama和The Simpsons人物共同出场的特别版漫画Futurama/Simpsons Infinitely Secret Crossover Crisis，2003年有PS2/XBOX同名游戏上市。
　　
2004年，Futurama和另一部命运相似的FOX动画剧集Family Guy开始在Cartoon Networks有线电视网面向成年人的卡通时间档Adult Swim中播出，两部剧集都取得相当好的收视率，因此FOX已决定在2005年继续制作Family Guy，而有关Futurama剧集的继续制作则只有零星传闻，没有实质性消息。

2007年11月，Futurama剧集原班人马制作的电影版《飞出个未来大电影》(Futurama: Bender's Big Score!)发行。

Futurama is a television show that ran from 1999 to 2004 on the Fox network and can currently be seen as repeats on Cartoon Network. It was created by Matt Groening and developed by Groening and David X. Cohen. The show centers on the delivery boy, Fry, who was frozen in the year 1999, only to reawaken in 3000. He soon meets up with his only surviving relative, Professor Farnsworth, and becomes friends with Bender, a mischievous robot, and Leela, a one-eyed beauty. Together, they go on wacky adventures week after week. While no new episodes are being made, recently a Futurama direct-to-DVD film will release.

Futurama was even funnier than The Simpsons in its heyday, and much of what made the series so great was perfectly exemplified by the DVD collection. There's an equal mix of cool sci-fi tales, brilliantly creative humor, and the addition of genuine heart that made this show unbeatable.

lilas在法语里也是紫色（准确的说是淡紫色），看来罗曼语相同的地方果然不少……~~~（lilas发音就是“利拉”，在法语里，末尾s一般不发音）

Futurama has gone through more frustrating cancellations than a United Airlines flight leaving Chicago's O'Hare Airport. No one knows that better than voice actor Billy West and actress Katey Sagal who respectively provide the voice, heart and soul of the show's two main characters, Fry and Leela.

But what has kept the show going is the camaraderie of the cast and crew. Everyone from the show still keep in touch in between other jobs and even have the occasional reunion from their regular crowded visits at ComicCon to smaller get togethers like when Katey said the cast got together to watch her last concert at the MBar in Hollywood.

Most of all, they said they have the fans to thank for their next big reunion when Futurama goes back into production. They both took a short time out of their busy schedules to chat about Comedy Central's two season order.

So where are you?

We're shooting Sons of Anarchy right now. I'm in Sunland (laughs).

Oh, right. So first off, congratulations on Futurama getting picked up. When did you find out and did you know that this might happen?

I found yesterday (Tuesday, June 9th) when everybody else found out. I got a little bit of a rumor. There has been so many rumors over the last couple of years about Futurama that I kind of don't pay attention so much. So I didn't get the official word until they made the official announcement yesterday and it was pretty darn exciting.

Were you confident that it was going to get picked up? What was your gut feeling?

I've been in the business for so long that I never expect anything (laughs). I've always trusted that Futurama has an amazing fan base. When we go to Comic Con and talk to people and just from my own website, you can just tell what a strong fan base it has. To me, Futurama was one of the smartest written shows that I've ever participated in. So I thought that was a no-brainer that this has to come back. You say that but you just never know. I was pleasantly, totally surprised but it could have gone either way.

What's kept the cast and the crew and everyone together? What keeps you all so committed to this series?

It's great material. It's a great gig and a great group of people. For me, all of those guys are so funny. I go to work and it's just a big laugh-fest. Doing an animated series is a wonderful thing to be able to do because you have time to do other things. It's a great deal, and to be associated with [Matt Groening] and [David X. Cohen]. I think ultimately you do anything you do because it's written well. That's been the draw.

And we've all said goodbye, I can't tell you how many times we've all said goodbye to each other (laughs), but we keep coming back for more, which is fantastic.

What about the character that you play do you find interesting about her, other than the fact that she gets just as many jokes as the other characters?

I love that she's a hard ass with a heart, kind of hard on the outside and soft on the inside. She's grown up feeling very alone and I like that she searches for love and I like that she's in charge. She's got a great dichotomy. And of course, she's funny. When I got the job for Futurama, I didn't really know what she was going to be. I was just so thrilled. I've never done a voice-over gig before and getting to be with Matt and David Cohen made for some great company. I'm thrilled with everything that they do.

So what are you looking forward to know that the show is going back into production?

Probably that we'll all be together. That's really fun. It's like the little engine that could, the show that just keeps going strong. What's really great is so people driven. The fans are what keeps it alive because they are so committed to it and talking about it. That's a great reason to keep doing something.

Did you know that they were talking about wanting to do new episodes?

I knew that they were mulling it over, but there was nothing substantial to report and they knew we were going to Comic Con and promote the box DVD set of all the movies, the features that were done.

When you heard the news, were you expecting anything from the chatter you heard?

It was a big surprise because it was like when they announced the DVD movies and a couple of seasons of them on Comedy Central, it was like wow, I never expected anything like that. That show was my favorite show that I ever did.

What do you think convinced them to make new episodes?

I know that this is kind of unprecedented. It's actually unheard of that anyone would order two seasons. It's performed well. It's popular. Everybody loves the show and I imagine it was the DVD sales that they took a good look at them and said this should be back on television episodically. Plus I have the fans to thank. I'm sure they are always pushing for stuff like that.

It seemed like a big part of this was fans clamoring for more. What does it feel like to be on a show that has that powerful a fan base?

Absolutely incredible. I always say this when you do a project, it's great that it's a cool show and everything but you never know if something is going to be iconically popular. You never knew when you're doing something and you're in the middle of it that it's going to be a huge phenomenon.

But you're working with the guy who created The Simpsons. There had to be some sense that you're working with Matt Groening and it must give you an idea that maybe this was going to be something big.

You have that feeling but you have to be pragmatic and can't say, "I've got nothing to worry about. This is Matt Groening. It will be big no matter what." I come in there with my hair on fire wanting to perform for my life, always I just want to bring a lot to the table and really, really contribute the best that I can. That's how I look at my job.

I knew it was going to be good, but taste can't be disputed. Some people think something is good and other people don't.

Do you know when you'll be going back in and recording anything?

I don't know what the schedule is right now, but I'm sure they are writing up a storm right now.

I consider myself extremely lucky that this would come back. I so enjoy the show like I can't tell you. Even if I had nothing to do with this show, I would have been a huge fan of it.

话说还是喜欢幻翔的翻译，不知道打不打算翻花絮？里面内容也相当丰富啊，至少把剧中出现得外星文给破译了……（其实全是广告==）

American DAD,我一直在追着看，觉得比辛普森好。另外飞已经确定又续签了新的26集，明年播出

你说莉拉的名字是不是来自于瑞典语的“紫色”？至少发音是一样的，而且她的头发是紫色的。

lilas在法语里也是紫色（准确的说是淡紫色），看来罗曼语相同的地方果然不少……~~~（lilas发音就是“利拉”，在法语里，末尾s一般不发音）


看来欧洲各地还不如中国方言变化大，太没挑战性了，会湖北话算不算一门外语？
