【内容简介】：

澳大利亚喜剧《Kath & Kim》讲述了澳大利亚郊区一个母亲和她的女儿生活的喜剧故事。故事设定在虚构的维多利亚，墨尔本泉湖的市郊，剧中Jane Turner饰演Kath Day-Knight, 一个离婚的50多岁的女人和她的前夫Kel Knight保持着愉快的关系。她25 岁的女儿 Kel Knight， 她的不幸第二好的朋友Sharon Strzelecki， Kim 的不和的丈夫Brett Craig和他们的宝贝女儿Epponnee Rae Craig。

Kath & Kim stars Jane Turner as Kath Day-Knight, a cheerful 50-something divorcee currently in a happy relationship with her husband, the effeminate Kel Knight, her spoilt, ever complaining 25-year-old daughter Kim Craig, her unlucky second-best friend Sharon Strzelecki, Kim's estranged husband Brett Craig and their baby daughter Epponnee Rae Craig. The series is set in the fictional suburb of Fountain Lakes, in Melbourne, Victoria, however the series is primarily filmed in Patterson Lakes, Melbourne.

The Kath & Kim theme song is Anthony Newley's "The Joker", and is performed by show star Gina Riley.

Kath Day-Knight should be the happiest woman in Fountain Lakes. A forty-something lady who likes to keep herself trim, she married her great hunk o'spunk, Kel, a month ago. However, their eagerly anticipated connubials had gone tragically wrong - leaving Kath in plaster in hospital - and she is far from her flagrant self.
Meanwhile, her daughter, Kim, is still shut out of the marital unit she shared with her estranged husband, Brett, after her ice maiden act backfired. She blamed the failure of their marriage on not having had enough time to sow her rolled oats.
