RADIO DEPT.是一队瑞典的组合.音乐上显然受MBV,RIDE和LUSH这三支SHOEGAZING乐队的影响甚深.不过,那一场辉煌的SHOEGAZING风潮早已过去十多年了.现在典型的SHOEGAZING乐队已经没有了.所以即便像RADIO DEPT.这样的也只能归入DREAM-POP之例.RADIO DEPT还比较注重吉他编排,旋律的流畅,这也使他们有着BRIT-POP的印记.总之,他们还算一支有特点的乐队.

The Radio Dept. is a Swedish band founded by members Johan Duncanson and Martin Larsson when Johan moved into his first own flat in Lund back in 1998. However, after a couple of years Martin got so sick of making music that he stopped all together. It was not until he heard Johan's sideprojects that he got inspired to start creating again.

This was in the beginning of 2001. A year after and after nice reviews in music magazine Sonic people started to get interested in The Radio Dept. An EP "Against The Tide" was released in August 2002. Around the same time the band got a record deal and released their debut album "Lesser Matters" in 2003.

Now it's time for the follow up. Soon The Radio Dept. will release their second album "Pet Grief". If you have missed their new single "Worst Taste in Music" this is your chance to hear it. And the rest of the album as well! Go on and enjoy The Radio Dept.
