The series also delves into his political relationships, including those with philosopher Sir Thomas More and Cardinal Wolsey, head of the Catholic Church of England during its break with Rome.
An exhilarating story filled to the brim with passion, cruelty and treachery. The series is shot on location in Ireland. Michael Hirst ("Elizabeth") is the series creator, writer, and executive producer.
