为了给那些自学能力有些弱，自觉意识比较差，自我感觉不太好，但是又迫切需要提高英语水平的人提供一个增进的机会，“美国之音慢速英语”家教式研修班正式开课了！研修班以听力为先导，以阅读为重点进行培训，将为日后的进一步提高打下扎实的基础。内容全部为自编，取材于每日更新的美国之音慢速英语。
学习材料包括：
一、每日报道听写：一键式听写，纯手工打造，全程无需人工干预；
二、每日报道精读：报道内容的精讲、翻译，及生词讲解等；
三、每日单词练习：练习题取自每日报道和专题的内容；
四、每日专题精听：所有句子编号。反复练习，直到听懂为止；
五、每日新闻泛听：七次滚动播出的新闻合集，即传说中的“新闻连播”；
六、每日报道复读：一键式复读，纯手工打造，全程无需人工干预；
除周末两日外，全年无休，直至美国之音关门，或者被关门。
加入研修班后，当周的内容作为体验，将全部免费。正式开始日期将从次周算起。每日课程的材料即时编写，通过QQ群邮件定时发送。在发布课程时，会同时发送短信通知，意在时时提醒各位，现在是“五天打渔，两天晒网”了！另外一个督促措施就是，每日的听写成绩要在当天公布在研修班专有的群里，以便记录在案，也为相互鼓励。
在研修班里，每个人的听力材料，其语速将以无级变速的方式，在12个月内缓慢提高到美国之音标准英语的速度。
以一年为例，经过60周不懈的努力，三百篇篇的听写，近百万单词的阅读，还能有多少单词记不住，有多少语法学不会呢？英语学习的终极目的在于提高水平，而非考试。只要踏踏实实地学习，水平提高了，四六八级、托福雅思，要想不过其实也比较难。

练习听力的要领是：听时不看，看时不听。即，听音频的时候不看文本或字幕，看文本或字幕的时候不听音频。否则如饮鸩止渴，事倍功半。
一、常速新闻的日期按当地时间标明，并非晚一天的旧闻。
二、常速的MP3音频与当日的PDF文本相同序号对应。
三、每周的合集发布之后，当周单日的文件将陆续删除。
四、更新的事情是每天都会发生的，而且不会是一次性的。请随时关注。
五、每日更新区位于下载区最下方，当日更新的慢速和常速皆置于此。稍候归档。
为了给全世界非英语国家的听众提供一个学习美国英语，了解美国社会与文化的平台，美国之音（Voice of America，简称VOA）于1959年10月正式推出VOA Special English（特别英语，即慢速英语）。
在进行了大量的调查和研究之后，美国之音对Special English的语速、风格和内容进行了规范化，具体表现是语速为每分钟90个单词，约为普通播音速度的三分之二；就风格而言，其语句简短、明晰，基本词汇为美国英语中最常用的1500个单词。在内容方面，其每日半小时的节目分为World News（世界新闻）和Feature Programs（专题报道）两大板块。

世界新闻每次约10分钟，每日滚动播出七次，共计70分钟。内容为世界范围内发生的热点新闻和突发事件，每一次约10条。前几条热点新闻一般都具有一定的连续性，如长篇小说连播一般。
而专题报道约20分钟。栏目则相对固定，分为5分钟的报道和15分钟的专题两个子板块。
在报道方面，周一至周五分别为：发展报道、农业报道、卫生报道、教育报道、经济报道。周末为时事新闻、词语掌故。
在专题方面，周一至周日依次为：今日美国、科学新闻、自然探索、美国史话、美国万象、美国小说、美国人物。
每日半小时节目的播出顺序依次为新闻、报道、专题。
而VOA News 为美国之音正常的新闻节目。为了区分，国人又称之为常速英语，或标准英语，即所谓的Standard English。

【文件命名】
以 27.3.070109.1_World News 这个MP3文件为例。在压缩包中的文件里，27代表周数（当周是09年的第27周）；3 代表当日为星期三；070109代表月、日、年；最后的数字1、2、3为序列号。如果把1、2、3号音频文件放进播放机里，就会按这个顺序播放。这三个音频组成了Special English 每日半小时的节目。

在电脑上看时，请使用Acrobat Reader、Foxit等PDF格式文本的专用阅读软件。全屏阅读时文本的字体显示最大，阅读面积最全。方法为：在打开PDF文本之后，按下Ctrl + L 键（加号不按）。

这是苹果网站上podcast的一档节目，在Education类中一直排名前三，面向非英语国家的听众。节目通常更新频率为3天一次，每期节目时间不长大概就5分钟，每次讲两个单词，都为GRE,SAT,TOEFL词汇。个人听了几次后感觉效果还可以，一般一次就能记住了。
鉴于个人水管较小，ADSL 1M，本次先更新001-100~部分缺失，大家有的欢迎补充，群策群力~现在该网站以前的节目貌似要交钱才能下载。。另外11月只更新了一集，就不放上来了~更新文件的详细内容看下图：

不想用骡子拖的童鞋有以下几种方法：
1、去apple官网下一个itunes，安装完后进入itunes store，在页面最下方把地区换成Unites States。然后在页面左边里面找到podcast，就能下节目了~经本人测试，播客好像是itunes里面唯一不需要账号就能下的。其实注册一个账号也很简单。。。
2、本贴77-79楼有HTTP下载，有部分链接无效，但自己根据规律填写完整的话应该还是能下的
3、去www.justvocabulary.com官网，就是一个一个稍微麻烦了点，但比较有针对性
不过还是希望大家能帮我分源哈~

个人体会：
1.本人英语阅读能力和词汇量都还好吧，至少阅读障碍不大（哈哈，我的“自信”被回帖中某网友质疑了，呵呵，那就谦虚一点吧），不过说到英语思维，真的是惭愧，有时候学那么多词汇可能不如本地小孩子表达得那么地道那么生动，所以我打算从0开始，用英文原版广播浸润一下，培养一下英语思维，对我来说，学习单词和词组真的是再容易不过了。
有和我同样感受的朋友，一起来进步吧，有时候慢或许就是学习语言的捷径。
