A:新T包括:听力、口语、阅读、写作四部分。
改变了原有的纯语法题,但是增加了我们中国学生普遍吃力的口语。
Q:新托福如何记分?
A:新T总共四部分。每部分30分。满分120分。
Q:新托福的成绩单有何变化吗?
A:有的。原来我们的成绩单就是每部分的分数+作文分。
现在,除了给出考生四个部分的成绩之外,每项考核还附有文字说明。
这些说明是对考生各种能力的优缺点加以概括性的评估。
Q:新托福考试时间长度是怎样的?
A:新托福从原来140分钟的考试时间延长到4个小时。在一天内完成。
可见新T不仅是脑力活,也是体力活,对学生的身体素质提出较高要求。
Q:新托福题目的选题内容有何变化吗?
A:内容的变化基本不会太大。以北美学生学习生活为主要内容。
内容主要涵盖:教育、人文、商业、工程技术、自然科学和社会研究六大类。
Q:新TOEFL考试还是在原来的考区考点吗?我考旧T的时候没看到电脑啊?
A:这的确是个问题。目前,ETS正在尽力完善适应新T的考区电脑服务系统。
之所以延长了新T在中国的实施时间,就是考虑到这个问题。
请考生注意,有些考区可能会有不同程度的考点增加或减少。
但是,ETS承诺:为了方便考生申请,TOEFL考试的设置次数将有所增加。而不是原来的一年4-5次。
Q:新TOEFL考试增加了口语考试,那么TSE还有必要参加吗?TSE考试会被取消吗?
A:如果考生新TOEFL考试成绩达到申请美国大学的水平以后,可以不必再考TOEFL的口语TSE。
但是如果考生是为了职业或商业目的,还可以继续选择TSE考试。
06年,在我们国家TSE不会随新TOEFL的出现而取消。
但是,在不久的将来,会被新T的口语取代。
但是,原来考过的成绩两年内还是有效的。

The original TOEFL iBT introduction schedule stated that the Test of Spoken English (TSE) would be discontinued as a stand-alone test as of July 2006. However, because TOEFL iBT will now be introduced only in locations where there is sufficient testing capacity, ETS will administer the TSE test on August 19, October 14, and November 18, 2006, in locations outside the United States and Canada.
Q:新TOEFL实行后,北美学校对成绩的要求会有怎样的变化呢?
A:在2005年北美新托福考试成绩发布后,
各院校纷纷制定了自身在新托福网考总体成绩与分项最低分上的录取要求。
从新TOEFL最大的改变——增加口语考试来看,各高校均十分重视考生的口语与写作能力。
具有良好的自我表达能力的留学申请者,将从考试到申请过程中具有较大的优势。
从公布的新托福分数要求来看,美国一些名校对新托福的要求看似并不高。
大部分院校只要求80分,相当于老托福考到550分。
但是中国考生的分数一向相对较高,如要获得哈佛等名校的录取,没有考到新托福100分以上是比较困难的。
另外,希望考生格外注意口语写作的分数。
Q:新TOEFL怎样报名?
A:现在,我们国家还没有完成设备上的一些完善,所以还没被ETS列入LIST里。
新T在8月考试,最晚6月可以进行报名。
到时候请考生登陆TOEFL——我要报名 来注册。
现在这个LIST里还没有CHINA,等到一切就绪了就可以报名了。
请考生先耐心复习,等待报名。
Q:请问关于成绩的寄送问题?
A:新T的成绩和机考差不多,有网上阅卷系统。
所以,不用再等那么久了。考试结束后可以网上查分。
官方成绩将在15个工作日寄送。

Please Note: If you plan to use this program in a computer lab, contact the lab administrator early.
To begin the Longman iBT program, you must first install Java and QuickTime on the computer. For Windows and Macintosh OS X, this is a one-step installation. For Macintosh 9.x, please follow the instructions below for installing Java, the Longman iBT program, and QuickTime. Read the instructions completely before proceeding.
Please Note: After you install the program, the CD-ROM must be in the CD-ROM drive when you use the program.

WINDOWS: ONE-STEP INSTALLATION
* Insert the Longman iBT CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. On most computers, the installation will begin automatically.
* If the installation does not begin, follow these instructions:
- Open My Computer.
- Double-click on the CD-ROM drive icon, the symbol that looks like a CD.
- If the installation does not begin automatically, double-click on the "Install.exe" file.
* Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
* If you do not already have QuickTime, or if you have a version earlier than 6.1, QuickTime 6.1 will be installed automatically on your computer.
* When you complete the installation, the program will start automatically.
* To launch the Longman iBT program each following session:
- Click on Start.
- Select Programs (or All Programs).
- Select Longman iBT.
- Click on the Longman iBT icon.

* Insert the Longman iBT CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
* Double-click on the Longman iBT CD-ROM icon on the desktop.
* Double-click on the Mac OS X folder.
* Double-click on the Longman iBT CD-ROM Installer icon.
* Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are running Mac OS X 10.1, you also need the Java 1.3.1 Update 1. This update is included inside the "Mac OS X" folder on this CD-ROM. To perform this update, follow these steps:
* Double-click on the Longman iBT CD-ROM icon on the desktop.
* Double-click on the Mac OS X folder.
* Double-click the "Java1.3.1Update1" file, and then follow the instructions on the screen to complete the update.
(D) MACINTOSH OS 9.x: THREE-STEP INSTALLATION
1. Install Java.
* Insert the Longman iBT CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
* Double-click on the Longman iBT CD-ROM icon on the desktop.
* Double-click on the Mac OS 9.x folder.
* Double-click on the "MRJ Installer" file.
* Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
2. Install the Longman iBT Program.
* Double-click on the Longman iBT CD-ROM icon on the desktop.
* Double-click on the Mac OS 9.x folder.
* Double-click on the "Longman iBT CD-ROM Installer" file.
* Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
3. Install QuickTime 6.0.3.
* Double-click on the Longman iBT CD-ROM icon on the desktop.
* Double-click on the Mac OS 9.x folder.
* Double-click on the "QuickTime Installer" file.
* Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
To begin the Longman iBT CD-ROM program after completing these three steps, double-click on the Longman iBT icon on your desktop.
(E) STARTING THE PROGRAM
The first screen of the Longman iBT CD-ROM offers three ways to start the program:
1. New User - if you have never used the program before.
2. Local User - if you have already used the program on this computer.
3. Disk User - if you have used the program on this computer or on a different computer and have your score data stored on a floppy (data) disk.
(F) USING THE PROGRAM
You can use this program in two (2) ways.
1. One person on the same computer for each session
For this method, a floppy disk is NOT necessary, and you do not need to do anything to save your score data when you exit the program. The computer will automatically save your scores and your completed questions.
* Start your first session by selecting "New User."
* Start each following session by selecting "Local User."
* At the end of each session, your data will automatically be saved on the computer.
PLEASE NOTE: Starting a session as a New User or as a Disk User will delete all previously saved data on the computer.
2. More than one person on the same computer or one person on different computers
A floppy disk is necessary for saving score data if more than one person uses the program on the same computer. A person who uses the software on different computers will also need a floppy disk for saving data.
* Insert a floppy disk.
* Start your first session by selecting "New User."
* Start each following session by selecting "Disk User."
* At the Log Out screen, click on the "Copy Data" button to save your data to the floppy disk.
(G) SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
WINDOWS:
* Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP
* 300 MHz or higher processor (Windows 98)
* 500 MHz or higher processor (Windows ME, 2000, and XP)
* 128 MB RAM minimum (192 MB RAM or higher recommended)
* Sound card, speakers, and computer microphone (or other recording device)
* Quad-speed CD-ROM drive
* 25 MB available on hard drive
MACINTOSH:
* Mac OS 9.x or Mac OS X (10.1.3 and higher)
* Power PC processor (200 MHz minimum) for Mac OS 9.x (300 MHz or higher recommended)
* Power PC G3 (233 MHz minimum) for Mac OS X (333 MHz or higher recommended)
