After watching this anime, I could only say, I was astonished, filled with the emotional impact of overwhelming shock. I read the Englishe translation of The Count of Monte Cristo, I was also amazed. Though it looks like it is primarily concerned with themes of hope, justice, vengeance, mercy, forgiveness and death, and is told in the style of an adventure story, I think the historical setting is a fundamental element of the book that makes this novel so complex. The anime though doesn't have such a historical background, it is more down to the earth that touches people's heart. I was not used to the anime's graphics style, however, the story is still magnificent - the story seems darker and the characters seem more depraved than the original novel.

这可比看原文的名著强
18世纪的法国文学
能把人看死 全是华丽的吹捧辞藻
影响故事性和逻辑性
这部片子 还原的风味很纯正 超过原著很多 雅俗共赏了
