本剧是一部最新的仿记录片形式的情景喜剧。讲述的是Ashburn足球俱乐部的点滴生活及他们的追求——赢得11岁以下组足球杯的胜利。本剧具有一定的励志、教育意义。

我将片名翻译成《勇往直前》也是表达本剧一种追求，拼搏，不惧一切的精神。

The Cup is a new mockumentary sitcom, following Ashburn United Football Club and their quest to win the under-11s football cup. It follows the parents, the children and the trainers and demonstrates the fact that it isn't always the children who want to win the most. The show is based on the Canadian sitcom The Tournament .
