万王之王

Mary Magdalene becomes angry when Judas, now a follower of Jesus, won't come to her feast. She goes to see Jesus and becomes repentant. From there the Bible story unfolds through the Crucifixion and Resurrection.

《万王之王》与《十诫》、《戏中之王》十史诗片导演德米勒德三大经典作品。一直到1979年电影《耶稣》上映之前，这部接近两个小时，运用勒大量特技效果和壮观场景（彼拉多房间里德老鹰雕像高达9英尺）的电影，被世界各地的基督徒用作仅次于《圣经》的传道工具。

另外，不管吴宇森本人是否同意，好莱坞的许多影评家都认为，他的那一套鸽子满天飞的暴力美学绝对是从《万王之王》中耶稣复活的场景里学来的。

在拍摄这部电影时，导演德米勒对耶稣及使徒扮演者德要求到了苛刻的地步。据电影史学家卡洛斯克拉伦斯（Carlos Clarens）记载，真戈摄制期间，他绝对禁止这些演员喝酒、赌博、说脏话、逛夜店、甚至不许和他们的妻子同房。
