Gina's parents, the Count and Contessa di Malacici are recent arrivals to the Bronx from Florence and have opened a chic restaurant in direct competition with the bawdy eatery run by Rosario's parents, Sadie and Mike Cappamezza. As a feud escalates between the two families, Sadie and Mike's lackluster love life demands the services of the town's eccentric psychic, Mona. All the while, the teenagers' intense attraction threatens to ignite the situation in grand Italian sytle.
